Welcome to 2025!
Congratulations! You've made it to the midpoint of this God forsaken decade! It's been hell and it's been fun. My family and I are starting this year sick. How fun! Regardless, we continue on, and I'm hoping you'll join me on a brand new grand adventure!
What is Easy Breezy Games?
Well, as the name suggests, this is a game studio. Currently we're a small team of... one, but in time, and as I meet more people, it'll grow into something spectacular! Created by Autum, the author of this blog, I wish to dedicate myself to make something that I can be proud of and people can enjoy. This blog in particular will be used to give you not just updates on games and what I'm working on, but will also be a place for you, yes YOU, to submit things you find neat. Whether it's something you made or just want to share an article you found, submit it in the Discord or comments and chances are it'll be here. Let's keep it positive though. The world's negative enough. With that said, let us know in the comments, what are you're hopes and plans for 2025?
My Goals for 2025
Despite starting this project, and all the others alongside it, I am actually really school focused this year. I have finals in a couple weeks, and after that, I am starting a very rough semester. My main goals are to do well in these classes but also make time to work on games and programs. That's why I'm starting this blog. I want to keep myself accountable which is why new posts will be uploaded every Wednesday. There's also a few other things I want to do, so I'll list them here; albeit, some of these don't fit the context of this post. If you'd like, I'd be happy to go more into detail on them later on. I probably will given the nature of this blog anyway.
- Keep grades in high 80s or higher
- Publish a blog post every Wednesday (or at leas as many as possible)
- Learn to read Hiragana and Katakana
- Finish a simple project
- Learn the programming language I'll need
- Learn the engine
- Learn how to make basic music tracks and sounds
- Learn Blender
- Complete a drawing for every month
TWIF
I'm thinking of having a section for random things I want to talk about and share with you all. I'm calling it This Week I Found or TWIF for short. I hope you enjoy these segments.
THE LONGING
I found this game called THE LONGING. I have no idea if it's written like that or if it is just stylized. Anyway, This game looks super interesting. Once you start the game, a 400 day timer starts ticking down and although that seems like a lot of time, we all know how time really moves. I'm not too sure what it's about, but I like the general vibe it's going for and it looks like it has a very interesting concept. The whole idea of it looks super neat, and honestly, I'm avoiding spoilers because I want to get it and play it someday. Maybe once I do, I'll feature it in another post.
Sonic Frontiers
Within this past week, I've gotten and beaten Sonic Frontiers. I have about 21 hours in the game, and have completed the main story. I'm still working on the other story and full 100% competition though. I played through with a guide because some puzzles (cough cough that one puzzle on the first island cough cough) were confusing. There were a few other puzzles I didn't quite understand, and with a guide I was able to see where I was going wrong. Overall, I love Sonic Frontiers, and coincidentally, my dad got the Sonic Frontiers record and it just arrived. 1-2 is a contender for my favourite Sonic level of all time.
Next Week
I found a lot of stuff but haven't gotten the time to get to it all yet, so here are some things I'd like to talk about next week.
I saw a post on BlueSky about this movie called Rabbits. This led me to finding out a little bit about this director named David Lynch. Although I haven't checked out his work yet, I'm hoping to and will write about it next week.
The second season of Squid Game released, and I've been watching it with my older sister. I'm not done though yet, as we've only just finished episode 4, but I'll write about it next week as well.
I bought Slay The Spire and have been playing it with a friend who has been talking about it. I played three runs, beat one boss, and my favourite class is The Silent so far. I think it's really cool and might have to give an update on it later.
Lastly, I saw a video on RPG Maker and decided I should test it out this coming week. I have a couple versions, but I never really tried them. I'll keep you updated on the RPG progress,
Closing
I'm looking forward to the new year and the opportunities ahead. Before we go though, I'd like to share some videos I found that I found interesting with you all.
How Do You KILL A Time Traveler by Sock Muppet is a really neat Undertale video exploring Sans and Papyrus in a way I haven't seen done before.
The Forbidden Way Of Making a Game by Joon has such an interesting style and the game he made is something I never even thought possible. On a similar note, I have to recommend I made a horror game that's IMPOSSIBLE to SCREENSHOT! by Branta Games for similar reasons.
Lastly, how does an indie game get made? by noodle is such a masterpiece of a video exploring a game that never got made.
Please send me things you all find cool in the comments, Discord, or BlueSky. It can be videos, articles, or pretty much anything. Take care you lovely people.
